Ryan Ahlenius

Executive Director, Counselor

Denver, CO

Ryan received his Masters in Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary and has been facilitating biblical counseling since 2018.  Ryan takes a biblical approach to help individuals, couples, and families through the trouble they are facing. Whatever the issue, Ryan’s goal is to help counselees understand what the God of Scripture says about it and how to draw near to God in it. He seeks to help counselees develop their understanding of root issues so that they can strive toward living a joyful and God-honoring life. Wise, dead people like C.S. Lewis are some of Ryan’s favorite counselors:

The Christian way is different: harder and easier. Christ says “Give me All.”... I have not come to torment your natural self, but to kill it. No half-measures are any good. I don’t want to cut off a branch here and a branch there, I want to have the whole tree down. I don’t want to drill the tooth, or crown it, or stop it, but to have it out. Hand over the whole natural self, all the desires which you think innocent as well as the ones you think wicked—the whole outfit. I will give you a new self instead. In fact, I will give you Myself: my own will shall become yours.

- Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis
